Fourteen kilometres of icy, clear water inside Köprülü Canyon, experienced boat captains and a paddle in your hands — nine hours out on the river, open to anyone from age four upwards.
On arrival there is a safety briefing and a kit hand-out; once helmet and life jacket are on, everyone slips into the shallow water beneath the bridge so the body gets used to the chill. Then the boats go in and the 14 km run begins — quickening currents, narrow rock passages and calm pools in between. A restaurant halfway along the route serves lunch, and afterwards you paddle the second stretch to the finish.
